Gary Gilbert COLE, age 70, of Whitewater, Wisconsin,passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2009, at his home.

Gary was born in Avalon, Wisconsin on July 7, 1939, the son of Gilbert and Gladys (Hutchinson) Cole. He graduated from Whitewater College High School. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1962 until 1964, seeing duty overseas in Germany. On June 27, 1964, Gary married Nancy Riedel at the First English Lutheran Church in Whitewater with Rev. Jerald Wendt officiating. Gary enjoyed hunting, trap shooting, camping with his family and working with his hunting dogs.

 Surviving are: Wife: Nancy Cole, Whitewater, WI, Daughters: Carla (Eric) Baumgartner, Vinton, IA, and Brenda (Brian) Ciancio, Sharon, WI, Grandchildren: Kacy and Cole Baumgartner and Mia and Ashlyn Ciancio, and Sister: Jackie Brokmeier, Whitewater, WI. He is further survived by a niece and nephews.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, step father Roy Hackett, sister Joyce Rockteacher and brothers-in-law; Orlin Brokmeier and Melvin Rockteacher.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, September 14, 2009, at 11:00AM at the Nitardy Funeral Home Chapel, Whitewater, Wisconsin with Rev. Jerald Wendt officiating.

Friends may call after 9:00AM on Monday at the funeral home until the services.
