Ralph Albert Giorno Sr., age 84, of Whitewater, Wisconsin, passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2010, at Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital.

Ralph was born in Chicago, Illinois on September 2, 1925, the son of Ralph Albert and Loretta (Taggart) Giorno. In February 1947, Ralph married Irene Mondrowski in Chicago, Illinois. Irene preceded him in death in 1979. Ralph married Nancy Yanke on March 18, 1980 in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. Ralph farmed on Highway 12 and worked at the Walworth County Nursing Home. Ralph was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Whitewater, Wisconsin. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling northern Wisconsin on travel tours, and was known to enjoy time at the casino.

Surviving are: Wife: Nancy Giorno, Whitewater, WI, Daughter: Patricia (Norman) Johnson, Lake Geneva, WI, Son: Ralph (Laurie) Giorno Jr., Whitewater, WI, Step-Daughter: Joie Richardson, Houston, TX, Step-Son: Carlo Tuzzio, Cedarburg, WI, Five Grandchildren and Three Great-Grandchildren.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Steven.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 21, 2010, at 11:00AM at the Nitardy Funeral Home Chapel, 550 N. Newcomb Street, Whitewater, Wisconsin with Father Thomas Perrin officiating.

Friends may call after 9:30AM on Saturday at the funeral home until the services.
