I was a fraternity brother of Carson’s at UWEC and a close friend when we both lived in Minneapolis. I truly appreciated Carson’s friendship (as well as Steve’s). Carson helped me out after having surgery on my knee. He challenged me to get out and do things. I could always rely on him during those years as someone I could trust.

I have often thought about Carson over the past 10 years. We were seldom in touch but i still felt connected to him in some way. I expect to still feel that connection even beyond his passing.

My thoughts and preyers are with your family.

    Sincerely – Stefan Wahe

Carson Coleman – The Kid, The Man and The Legend

I can’t remember the first time I met The Kid. Probably some time before kindergarten. He lived in Heart Prairie at his parent’s farm. I remember having a birthday party at my parents’, who also lived in Heart Prairie. Many friends came to the party and Carson was one of them. We played games like all kids do. I went to school with Carson in kindergarten and first grade. Then my family moved into town only to see Carson during baseball in the summer knowing that we would meet up again sometime in the future. Then next time Carson and I were in class together was in Jr. High School. We met up again.
After High School a lot of classmates went their separate ways. After most classmates were done with college, Corey Klefbaum and Carson told me about a place called Apple River. This was a place to get away and have fun. I wasn’t one to get away from Whitewater to much, but The Man taught me to get out and experience life. What a great run we had at Apple River. Like a couple friends said, “those were some of the best times”. After I no longer went on those Apple River trips I knew we would meet up again.
Then after years went by I saw Carson at the Whitewater 4th of July festival. We talked about old times just like no time was ever missed. Today I read and hear friends and family say he was one that would always make you laugh. I can’t remember a time when Carson was around and at least one person wasn’t laughing. So today when I hear some talk about all the great times friends and family had with him I think of the The Legend because when I think of Carson Coleman I think of Fun Times! So today and everyday that I think of Fun Times I will know that I will meet up with you again someday, Carson.
