    Gail, Guy, Scott & Lynn,

So many years have passed since I’ve seen any of you, but I have forgotten none of you – and your mother will always be especially dear to me. She was like a second mother to me when my mother wasn’t able to be, and I will never forget her kindness. I still make “sugar toast” the way she used to make it for me, and even though that chicken noodle soup came out of can (so she said), it was the best chicken soup I’ve ever had!! I still have many, many memories of times spent in your house with your family and am so grateful that your mom was the loving, caring person that she was and saw to it that we were looked after. There was always an open door at your house for us!

I am very sorry to hear of her passing. My deepest condolences.

    Dear Thayer Family,
I just learned yesterday of your loss. Your mom Joyce was such a wonderful woman. There were so many years that my favorite afternoon of the month was knitting meetings at your mom’s. She was always so kind to an unhappy girl. I still knit to this day, and every time I get a chance to knit I always remember her. I looked at the estate sale listing pictures and it brought back so many happy memories, I recognized so many things. I wish with all my heart I could make it to the estate sale but unfortunately I can’t rearrange the day. Joyce will always be in my happy thoughts.
