I have happy memories of visiting Emilia in her home in the 1990's with my children and late mother-in-law, Florence Sobolewski, who visited us for extended visits from Pennsylvania. We were new transplants to Whitewater, and Emelia and the Sobolewski family treated us like new-found relations, even though we could never prove that we were blood relatives. We will never forget how wonderful and at-home that made us feel. Every time Mom came to visit we would run over to Emelia's house so the two ladies could visit (often in Polish). My children looked forward to those visits as well, and even years after Emilia moved from her home on the east side, my children would comment upon their fond memories of those times as we drove by.
Emilia's love for, pride in, and devotion to her children and grandchildren shined.
We know that Emelia is now home with the Lord she loved. Perhaps she and Florence have already resumed their visits.
May God grant comfort and peace to all of Emilia's family.
With love and sympathy, Sonya, Vic, Larissa, Peter, and Steven Sobolewski

Kelly and Pratt Family,

Both you, Kelly, and Dennis were a very dear party of my years growing up in Cuba City. I will always regards those memories fondly. Dennis may have been Patty and Paula's ride to school, but you and I had our own adventurous rides to school in the old red SS Nova, didn't we, Kelly? Wow. Time flies. It's so hard to believe Dennis is gone. He was such wonderful friend in HS (we even when pool jumping a few times) and he grew into an even better husband and father, I'm sure. A man of strength and integrity. If you recall, it was I who encouraged Dennis to ask you to homecoming so many years ago, Kelly, and I'm so happy you found out each other--your soul mate. I'm so, so sorry you have lost him, honey--especially so young. I can't imagine what you, your children, and the entire family are enduring. Gale, Marv and Grace were also so pleasant to be around when I was younger, and I even I remember babsitting little sister Melissa a few times. My condolences to all of you. Dennis was like a brother to me and my sisters. A very trustworthy, fun, and NICE brother with a great sense of humor. I'm honored that he touch my life for the brief years he did. As with all of us who loved Dennis, my thoughts and prayers are with you as you cope with his absence in your daily lives. It just breaks my heart. You know his loving spirit will be with you always. Please take care.

Florence loved me like a Mother and I loved her. I always felt apart of the Lemke family. "Mom" extended that love and "membership" to Sue when I brought her home. Memories of the Rock River, skipping stones, fishing, chess games and eating all those Friday night meals. I truly loved her fried potatoes! Lee & Lucy would have been lost without her help. My fondest, most recent memory is last Labor Day weekend at our daughter Jessie's wedding . . . after the ceremony,"Mom" & I took a trip down memory lane , so much family history between us. We also, have a photo of my Mom & Florence sitting companionably side by side sharing the day. How they cared for each other. I'll always hold on to "Mom" in my heart. Please accept from myself & Sue our most heart-felt sorrow at the passing of Florence. She was simply the best. Tom & Sue

Dear Francis, Roger, Arlene, Donald and Family,

I wanted to express my deepest sympathy and concern for you and also share with you the wonderful hope for our dead loved ones. As you grieve Elsie’s death, please reflect on the hope in question, which comes from Our Heavenly Creator, Jehovah God. By means of the Bible, He allows us to understand how He’ll eliminate death for good one day and bring our dead loved ones back to life. This is evident in Scriptures like (Isaiah 25: 8), (John 5: 28), (1 Corinthians 15:26), (Revelation 21:3 and 4), which can comfort you in your sorrow. God’s promises are guaranteed because He cannot lie (Titus 1:2). Moreover John 11 verses 11-14, 39, 43, and 44 attests that Jesus, whom God appoints to bring the dead back to life, did it before when he resurrected Lazarus and several others when he was on earth. As you await Elsie’s resurrection, please heed Jesus’ counsel in John 17 verse 3 and take steps to gain accurate knowledge of Jehovah God and Jesus by carefully studying the Bible with the Witnesses. In John 5 verse 39, Jesus explains that such study is vital for anyone who wishes to have everlasting life one day here on earth, which will become a paradise where you can be re-united with Elsie again in a world free of VIOLENCE, WAR, SICKNESS, OLD AGE, even DEATH etc… (Ps 37: 9-11 and 29), (Psalms 46: 8 and 9), (Isaiah 33:24), (Job: 33:25).

Kelly, Derek, Meagan, Lindsay, Sarah and Danny. So sorry to hear about Dennis. He was a classmate of mine at Cuba City High School. He was a very kind person and always caring. I hope that you are doing o.k. I will keep you in my prayers. It is hard to love someone as special as Dennis. Take care and know that many are thinking of you.

We read of Jim's passing away as we subscribe to the UNION even living away from Jefferson these many years. We shared the other half of the duplex with Jim and Betty when we lived there while our home was being built in Westby.

We both have very fond memories of Jim and Betty having coffee, Jim reading the newspapers, out on the screen porch that was at the south end of each of our units. My husband and I grew to be good friends as we saw each other so much, talked a lot, watched each other's door when each of us was gone. We'll always remember his warm smile, his love of airplanes, his tanned face and those twinkly eyes. Both of us taught, me in Oconomowoc and Dave in Jefferson at the HS, and they both asked of our activities so often--they truly cared.

Dear Arlene and family,

I was saddened to learn of Elsie's death. I know you will all miss her a great deal. It is so hard to lose a loved yet she had such a positive attitude she was a great example of how a person of faith moves to the next place. May you find comfort in knowing she is at rest.

Remembering you all in thoughts and prayers.

I just found this information on the net and I am in shock. Roseann and I dated for three years starting when she was sixteen. We even were engaged for a while. To her children and siblings, I send my condolences. She was my first love and a special human being. I'm feeling great sadness at the knowledge of her loss.

Ralph and Laurie:

My deepest sympathy in the passing of your father. I just happened to notice it when I was checking the Janesville Gazette for news on the Town of Milton, part of my daily duties.

I pray that God gives you the strength to get thru this. Remember that Faith-Family-Friends can get you through anything.

God Bless, Sandy Kunkel

Our thoughts and prayers are with during this most difficult time. We always enjoyed visiting your family when I was young and later @ our Bugner reunions. I always will remember Theresa's outgoing demeanor and friendly disposition.

Our deepest sorrow to you Kelly and your family along with Grace, Gale, and Melissa and extended families. I'm sure I don't have to tell you what a wonderful person Denny was. Even though we haven't seen him for many years I can hear his laugh and see his easy smile. His generous heart went out to many. And I remember the night fishig excursions. I hope he improved over the years because we did more yaking than good fishing. May you find comfort in our Lord during this difficult time knowing that Denny is in his safe keeping.

Dear Kelly and Children,
I am your neighbor and just heard of your loss of a wonderful person, your husband and Dad. While driving down our neighborhood all I could see was love coming from your household and I know this has to be so hard on your family to lose such a great man. My prayers have been with you and I truly pray the Lord embrace your family to help you through this time. I am so sorry.

God Bless you in abundance!

Dear Kelly and family, Grace, Gale and Melissa,
I'm so very sorry to hear about Dennis' passing. It came as quite a shock.
He was always so good to me and my family, giving us a ride to school every day, entertaining and catering to us girls and being a good friend to me. Though we haven't seen each other over the years, Paula would always let me know when she heard anything on how he and the family were doing.
May God help you stay strong in your time of need and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Joan was such a sweet lady, always a kind word and a smile for everyone. It was a pleasure to see her and Arnie when they went downtown for a burger, and Arnie would let you know he appreciated it when it arrived with a thick slice of onion. I worked at Nasco in the late 70's and a nicer gal in the office could not be found. She is in heaven with Arnie, but remember, when you think of her it's because she's whispering in your ear!

Dear Pratt family.

Was sadden to hear the news about Dennis. I remember when I was growing up visiting his grandparent's George and Olive getting to know my cousin Dennis. Dennis, another cousin Randy and I were in the same age group and we enjoyed doing what kids liked to do on the farm.

Sincerely,
